Commercial for Arctic Trucks
A commercial for Arctic Trucks Norway and the Vision X VX XPL Curved Halo LED bar — shot on a winter night in falling snow, where an auxiliary light actually has to do its job. We handled camera, edit and colour.

The client
Built for the harshest conditions.
Arctic Trucks started in 1990 as a division of Toyota in Iceland, where customers needed 4×4s that could handle Icelandic terrain and winter. The division took the name Arctic Trucks in 1996 and became an independent company in 2005.
Since then, Arctic Trucks has converted vehicles for some of the harshest conditions on earth — from expeditions on the Antarctic plateau and a record-fast run to the South Pole in 2010, to the trucks BBC Top Gear drove to the magnetic North Pole.
Arctic Trucks Norway is based at Solbergmoen in Drammen. It converts the Toyota Hilux, Land Cruiser, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Nissan Navara and Volkswagen Amarok, and the workshop and online store cover everything from tyres and wheels to winches, roof racks, expedition gear and auxiliary lights — including Vision X.
The brief
A light that has to be sold in the dark.
Arctic Trucks sells Vision X auxiliary lights under the Arctic Trucks + Vision X name, and needed a film for the VX XPL Curved Halo — a 40-inch curved LED bar for the roof.
An auxiliary light is sold on what it looks like when it is switched on, and you only see that in the dark. So the whole film is set on a winter night in falling snow — exactly the conditions the bar is made for.
The film
The LED bar in 31 seconds.
The film cuts between close-ups of the curved bar along the roofline, the round auxiliary lights in the grille and the switch in the cab, and shots of the truck in heavy snowfall with every light on.
The title cards stick to what the customer needs to know: a slim LED bar for discreet mounting on modern vehicles, with 11,610 effective lumens. The film ends on the Vision X and Arctic Trucks logos.
We handled camera, edit and colour, and shot it in 4K.
